Fire Fighting & Protection

Design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of complete fire fighting & protection systems — from fire pump rooms and sprinkler networks to hydrant systems, detection & alarm, smoke management and gas suppression — engineered for code-compliant, audit-ready life safety.

Overview

Life safety that is engineered in, not bolted on.

A fire protection system that looks compliant on paper but fails at a critical moment is worse than useless. ECS designs, supplies and commissions fire fighting systems with hydraulic calculations, certified equipment and documented commissioning — so that when the fire authority inspects or an emergency occurs, the installation performs exactly as designed.

What’s included

  • Hydraulic design, system selection and compliance review to NFPA & NBC
  • Supply of pump sets, controllers, sprinkler heads, hydrant hardware and pipework
  • Fire pump room construction — electric, diesel and jockey pumps with duty/standby arrangement
  • Sprinkler network and wet/dry riser installation; internal & external hydrant systems
  • Fire detection, alarm, signalling and security system integration
  • Fire-rated duct fabrication & installation; staircase and lobby pressurisation
  • Commissioning, flow testing, fire authority liaison and O&M documentation handover
Pump typesElectric main, diesel standby & jockey pump sets (UL/FM-listed or equivalent)
Sprinkler systemsWet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action — ordinary to extra hazard (NFPA 13)
Riser & hydrantWet/dry risers, internal hose reels, external yard hydrants (NFPA 14, NBC)
Detection & alarmAddressable & conventional panels, smoke/heat detectors, manual call points (NFPA 72)
SuppressionClean-agent (FM-200, Novec, CO₂) for server rooms & critical spaces
StandardsNFPA 13/14/20/72, NBC (Part 4), local fire authority requirements
Service scope

Every element of fire protection, under one contractor.

01

Fire Pump Rooms

Complete pump room packages — electric main pumps, diesel standby pumps and jockey pump sets, motor control centres, pressure-maintenance systems and duty/standby controllers — designed and installed to NFPA 20.

02

Fire Sprinkler Systems

Wet pipe, dry pipe and pre-action sprinkler systems — hydraulically calculated to NFPA 13 for ordinary, intermediate and extra-hazard occupancies, covering industrial, commercial and residential applications.

03

Fire Hydrant Systems

Internal and external hydrant networks — rising mains, wet/dry risers, landing valves, hose reels, yard hydrants and fire brigade inlets — designed and installed to NFPA 14 and NBC fire protection provisions.

04

Fire Detection & Alarm

Addressable and conventional fire detection and alarm systems, including smoke detectors, heat detectors, beam detectors, manual call points, sounders and visual alarms — integrated to NFPA 72 and local fire authority requirements.

05

Fire-Rated Ducts & Smoke Management

Fire-rated GI, MS and SS ductwork for smoke extraction and management systems; staircase and lobby pressurisation designed and installed to maintain tenable egress conditions and support fire brigade operations.

06

Clean-Agent & Gas Suppression

Total-flooding clean-agent suppression systems — FM-200, Novec 1230 and CO₂ — for server rooms, data centres, UPS rooms and other critical spaces where water-based suppression is unsuitable.

Why ECS for Fire Protection

Engineering that removes risk from your life-safety system.

A poorly coordinated fire protection project creates inspection failures, costly remedial work and systems that do not perform under real emergency conditions. As a single-source turnkey contractor, ECS owns every discipline — from hydraulic design and equipment selection through to flow testing, fire authority liaison and documented handover.

  • Single-source SITC — design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning under one accountable team
  • Full compliance with NFPA 13, 14, 20 & 72, NBC (Part 4) and local fire authority regulations
  • Hydraulic calculations, material certifications and audit-ready commissioning records from day one
  • Integrated approach — fire protection coordinated with MEP disciplines for clash-free installation
  • Skilled engineers and trained technicians — no sub-contracted accountability
